Right now, everything is at stake: the right to choose, the right to vote, the right for all people to reclaim the American Dream. I have fought Donald Trump and the Republicans before and I spent a decade fighting crime in New York City. I feel compelled to get back in the trenches to lead the battles to protect and defend our democracy, preserve and expand our fundamental rights, and reduce crime and gun violence.”

Former lead Trump impeachment counsel and federal prosecutor

Dan Goldman is running for Congress in New York's 10th Congressional District to protect our democracy and defend our fundamental rights at a moment when there have never been greater threats to both.

Republicans across the country are scheming to disenfranchise voters and find backdoor ways to overturn the will of the people in the next presidential election. This is a five-alarm fire that too many Democrats in Washington are treating as a tiny, distant flame. Donald Trump and the Republican party he controls are not only trying to take away our rights but are tearing down the foundations of democracy itself.

About Dan Goldman

Dan Goldman and his wife, Corinne, live in lower Manhattan where they are raising their five children. In 2019, Dan Goldman served as lead counsel for the impeachment investigation of President Donald J. Trump for abusing his office for his personal interest regarding Ukraine. In that role, Goldman led depositions and questioned witnesses in public hearings, and testified before the House Judiciary Committee.

Prior to that, Goldman served 10 years as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of New York working with Preet Bharara. In that role, he held powerful actors accountable and made our city safer. He took on some of the office’s biggest and most consequential cases: prosecuting violent gangs and gun trafficking, mafia bosses and Russian organized crime, and landmark insider trading and major corporate fraud cases. In law school, Goldman contributed to Michelle Alexander’s seminal book, The New Jim Crow, which addressed the inequalities in our criminal justice system.
